28. Irish prime minister dismisses Theresa May's border idea

Dispite the fact that Ireland’s prime minister has not heard or dicussed this propersal from the British prime minster hersel, he is has dismissed the suggestion that the Canada-US border. In addition, he feels as if it will not solve irelands problems.
He states “I visited the Canada/US border back in August and saw physical infrastructure with customs posts, people in uniforms with arms and dogs and that is definitely not a solution that we could possibly entertain,”
He told the Luxembourg prime minister Xavier Bettel whilst in a press conference in berlin that he that he had not heard May’s speech and did not want to comment on it directly but he was clear this arrangement would not work in Ireland.
May made this comment as she very much likes how " frontiers between countries with different customs regimes could work.
