The report looks at how the TV industry( mainly BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and Channel 5) can improve as it is stated that 'it paints a worrying picture with many broadcasters unable to monitor the the makeup of their employees'

The report showed that women within the workforce accounted for 48% whilst account for 51% of the general public. In addition, those from ethnic groups such as Black, Asian etc account for only 12% of workers. This links to the another problem within the industry as many ethnic groups are highly unrepresented and negatively portrayed.

Lastly, the BBC aims for its empolyees to comprise of 50% women, 8% of disabled people, 8% perecent of LGBT community and 15% percent of ethic minorities such as Blacks/Asians by the end of 2020.
