In a instagram post, the Oscar-winning actress said: "I embrace my natural heritage and despite having grown up thinking light skin and straight, silky hair were the standards of beauty, I now know that my dark skin and kinky, coily hair are beautiful too."
in addition, the editor of grazia magazine, An Le said he was deeply sorry for altering the image that appeared on the cover of Grazia magazine.
Lupita, who's from Kenya, added there was "still a very long way to go to combat the unconscious prejudice against black women's complexion, hair style and texture".

Quote- "My altering of her image was not born out of any hate but instead out of my own ignorance and insensitivity to the constant slighting of women of color throughout the different media platforms." - editor of the magazine 'Grazia
Quote 2- they also state to make to be less racial insensitive and" committed to representing diversity"

In my opinion, i heavilyb agree with the actress lupita statement that we have a long way to go before we are able to diminish these invalid and insensitive ideas about race and beauty that we have swirling around in the media lately.
However, i find it hard to believe these professional people that work at grazia were completely unaware to what they were doing and presenting to their consumers however im pleased that they have own up to and ready to make a change.
