This article mentions how the growth of technology and science has an impact of the availability of jobs and how it is effecting the work place.


  • In the uk, over 13% percent of employers think that 30% of employees will be robots.
  • Care homes are also trialling robots such as the 'The Three Sisters'
  • “The UK must make the most of the economic opportunities that new technologies offer,” said Frances O’Grady,
  • Britain needs to invest more in robots or risk falling further behind countries including the US, France, Germany, Spain and Italy 


 But it argues that new technologies could phase out mundane jobs, raise productivity levels and so deliver higher wages

1) What was the New Day trying to achieve? The new day was created to tap into a new market. The new day was created in order to fit into peoples modern lifestyles. 2) List the key statistics on the first page: how many people buy newspapers in the UK? How has this declined in the last year? -Around 6 million people buy a newspaper in Britain every single day and  One million people have stopped buying newspapers in the last two years. 3) What audience were the New Day trying to attract?
