Model Munroe Bergdorf quits as Labour LGBT adviser

The  well known transgender model and campaigner Miss Munroe Bergdorf has quit her job on the labour party’s LGBT advisory board after many offensive comments in the tabloid press and also by the oppostion party, Conservatives off the comments she had made on social media sites. Initially, Miss Bergdorf said she had been extremely honoured and grateful for  the appointment and role she was give but afterwards it had “turned into nasty tabloid fodder, blown out of all proportion”.
Morever, the model has also ended a L’Oreal partnership over other but similar controversial statements as she claims that  her words were taken heavily out of context by newspapers and tabloids. she feels as she has been so heavily criticised that that she no longer had the energy to talk about the “racial violence of white people any more”.
the tweets mentioned by Conservatives, included the  vice-chair of the party Helen Grant, included one where Bergdorf said the suffragettes were “white supremacists who were fighting for WHITE women’s rights”. In addition, she called homosexual Tory activists a “special kind of dickhead”
In my opinion, i highly agree with the outspoken model however i am extremely disappointed that she has backed down from the opportunity as she could of helped many of the public who find the same kind of treatment in real life and social media.

NDM: the effect of online technology on newspapers

1 ) Do you agree with James Murdoch that the BBC should not be allowed to provide free news online? Why? I do not completely agree with the argument that James Murdoch has presented, however i believe there is a lot of problem that lies within the Newspaper Industry due to lack of revenue. For example  Journalism is a key aspect in the newspaper industry as it is how the information is gathered and correctly reinforced to the public whilst keeping them interested and educated.
